Everything is sitting pretty for Arsenal fans as the international break begins with the side eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and still basking in the glow of Sunday's 4-1 win against Crystal Palace.

Gunners supporters won't want to be getting ahead of themselves as they wait for the Premier League to return but, at the very least, a return to Champions League football seems guaranteed next season.

The Arsenal squad continues to dazzle under Mikel Arteta, but a few new additions this summer wouldn't go amiss to compete with European giants next year.

Here are the latest transfer rumours at Arsenal.

Arsenal hopes reignited as Juventus stall on Ivan Fresneda

Arsenal have been given fresh hope in the pursuit of Ivan Fresneda from Real Valladolid after Juventus hesitation.

With Kieran Tierney looking likely to leave the Emirates this summer, Mikel Arteta is believed to be shopping for a full-back - even being linked with ex-Manchester City star Joao Cancelo in recent days.

One ongoing link is with Real Valladolid man Ivan Fresneda.

Ivan Fresneda has been on Arsenal’s radar for a while now. At just 17, he has all the potential in the world to become one of football’s leading full backs. Arsenal looked unlikely to beat interest from Italian giants Juventus but a report from Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed the side are now no longer interested in the Spaniard.

According to reports, Fresneda's move to Juventus seemed so likely that Valladolid had begun preparing for life without the star, making any Arsenal summer swoop easier than it might have been in other circumstances.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has spoken out about widespread reports linking him with a move to Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Mikel Arteta was said to be eyeing up a move for the Spaniard and willing to pay his £52.5 million release clause but the deal never came to fruition.

The Arsenal boss instead plugged that midfield hole with Jorginho from Chelsea but has continued to be linked with a summer move for Zubimendi.

In an interview with Sport, the 24-year-old has now rubbished those rumours and insisted he won't be going anywhere when the transfer window re-opens.

He said: "Rumours, rumours, because I told my agent that I didn’t want to hear anything, especially in winter.

“Leaving Real Sociedad aside with the season we are having would be illogical. I am very happy here. I look forward to a quiet summer. Like the others and nothing."
