Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to eight points after a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Martinelli scored his sixth goal in as many league games to open the scoring in the first half, before Bukayo Saka added to the tally shortly before half time.

Granit Xhaka scored the third goal after Leandro Trossard played him in, while Jeffrey Schlupp pulled a goal back for the visitors on 63 minutes.

Saka, who is the youngest player to reach double figures for both assists and goals this season, secured the win 15 minutes from time after an assist from Kieran Tierney.

Aaron Ramsdale - Made a great save in the first half and put in good performance. 7.

Ben White - Solid defensive display and good work-rate going forward. His anticipation is immense. 7.

Rob Holding - A solid performance at the heart of the defense, where he made several important clearances. 7.

Gabriel - Looked composed and made some important blocks and tackles to keep the opposition at bay. 7.

Oleksandr Zinchenko - Won 3 out of his 4 ground duels and put in a solid defensive performance. 7.

Thomas Partey - Controlled the midfield well and distributed the ball efficiently to his teammates. 7.

Greanit Xhaka - Another composed performance from the Swiss international, who played a crucial role in Arsenal’s build-up play and scored a great goal. 8.

Martin Odegaard - One key pass, and 87 per cent pass accuracy. The Norway skipper was once again at his best in midfield. 7.

Bukayo Saka - Best player on the pitch. Saka was a constant threat down the right flank and scored a great couple of goals. The first player to get over 10 assists and 10 goals in the league this season. 9.

Gabriel Martinelli - Put in a tireless shift in and scored a great goal to bounce back from his penalty miss on Thursday night. 8.

Leandro Trossard - Six assists in five games for the Belgian international. What a signing he’s been. 7.

Substitutes:

Kieran Tierney - Replaced Zinchenko on the 65th minute and made an instant impact with his solid defensive work. 6.

Jakub Kiwior - Replaced Gabriel on the 86th minute and did well to help his team see out the game. 6.

Jorginho - Replaced White on the 83rd minute and helped his team maintain possession in the closing stages of the game. 6.
