As Arsenal continue to rebuild themselves as a force in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta, supporters will be understandably excited to see what direction the club’s future will take.
And while we might not have a crystal ball out our disposal, we do have the next best thing - Football Manager.
The popular video game franchise is renowned for its meticulous detail and authentic approach to the world of, well, football management, and we thought we’d take a look five years into the future to see exactly what the lay of the land is in north London.
Fast forward to 2026, and it’s all change for the Gunners.
Just six members of Arsenal’s current side are still in the match day squad, although it is worth pointing out that Arteta is still at the helm.
And the Spaniard’s long-term project has seemingly come to fruition, with a couple of FA Cups, a Europa League, and most incredibly of all, a Champions League title all under his belt.
Check out Arsenal’s impressive new squad, according to Football Manager 2022, below...

13. Sub: Takehiro Tomiyasu

14. Sub: Bukayo Saka
Recovering from injury at the start of the 2026/27 campaign, Saka is arguably the Gunners’ star man when fit. A UEFA Nations League title with England looks pretty nice on his CV too. (Photo by Stuart MacFarlane/Arsenal FC via Getty Images) | Arsenal FC via Getty Images

15. Sub: Roberto Firmino
Perhaps one of the more surprising additions to the Gunners’ new look squad, Firmino is deemed surplus to requirements by Liverpool in 2022 and arrives in north London for around £49m. 48 goals in 130 games later, he doesn’t look like the worst signing in the world. 16. Sub: Nordi Mukiele
Another ex-Leipzig man, this time with French international pedigree. Mukiele is very much a squad player, but a pretty decent one all things told. (Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images) | Getty Images
