As Arsenal continue to rebuild themselves as a force in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta, supporters will be understandably excited to see what direction the club’s future will take.
And while we might not have a crystal ball out our disposal, we do have the next best thing - Football Manager.
The popular video game franchise is renowned for its meticulous detail and authentic approach to the world of, well, football management, and we thought we’d take a look five years into the future to see exactly what the lay of the land is in north London.
Fast forward to 2026, and it’s all change for the Gunners.
Just six members of Arsenal’s current side are still in the match day squad, although it is worth pointing out that Arteta is still at the helm.
And the Spaniard’s long-term project has seemingly come to fruition, with a couple of FA Cups, a Europa League, and most incredibly of all, a Champions League title all under his belt.
Check out Arsenal’s impressive new squad, according to Football Manager 2022, below...

10. CAM: Martin Odegaard
The Norwegian is still strutting his stuff for the Gunners in 2026, with nearly 200 appearances and 44 goals to his name, as well as a nine-digit price tag on his head. (Arsenal FC via Getty Images) | Arsenal FC via Getty Images

11. LM: Emile Smith Rowe
Despite being a Champions League winner and one of the brightest lights in the Premier League, Smith Rowe somehow doesn’t have a senior international cap to his name at the age of 26. 12. ST: Anthony Martial
A prolific stint with Zenit St Petersburg convinced Arsenal to take a chance on the Frenchman in 2026 - although his international tally of one goal in 29 caps is a bit of a red flag. (Photo by Eric Alonso/Getty Images) | Getty Images
