Pair to leave?

Arsenal will ‘listen’ to offers for Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares at the end of this season, according to a report by Football Insider. The left-back pair have both fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium and the latter is currently out on loan at Marseille in Ligue 1.

Tierney, who joined the London club from Celtic back in 2019, has lost his place over recent times to Oleksandr Zinchenko. He remains under contract for the next few years but is believed to be on the radar of fellow top flight club Newcastle United this summer.

Midfielder latest

Arsenal have been linked with a swoop for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia in the next transfer window. The youngster has impressed for a struggling Saints side this term.

However, speaking in his column with CaughtOffside, reporter Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the speculation for now: “Nothing has changed for Romeo Lavia, at the moment. It’s normal to see big clubs linked because he’s a top talent but there’s nothing concrete at this stage.

“It’s fair to remember that Man City have £40m buy back clause for Lavia, so value has to be higher for sure.”
