Arsenal transfer target drops major hint as West Ham eye deal for Gunners striker

Arsenal are now plotting their way back into the top four after falling to fifth over the weekend.

Locked on points with Tottenham and with a game in hand still to play, the Gunners remain in control of their own destiny heading into the back-end of the season.

But their 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace was a sobering defeat, and they must now respond this weekend to stay on course.

Napoli hijack

Arsenal are said to be weighing up a potential hijacking of Napoli’s proposed signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kvaratskhelia is a young winger currently playing for Dinamo Batumi, and Napoli are said to be favourites to land him.

But Area Napoli report Arsenal have been tracking 21-year-old, considering snatching him away from the Serie A giants.

Gakpo admission

Reported Gunners target Cody Gakpo has admitted his liking of Arsenal amid talk of a move.

The PSV star is said to be one of Arsenal’s target ahead of this summer, and in a recent interview, as cited by FourFourTwo, he admitted to having a soft spot for the Gunners:

“Everybody wants to play one time in the Prem. I don’t favour one team but I like Arsenal a lot,” he said.

“I looked up to Henry when I was younger because he was a tall guy who played on the wing.”

Nketiah latest

West Ham United are the latest club to be linked with a move for Gunners starlet Eddie Nketiah.

Nketiah has made just 12 appearances this season and is being tipped to move on in a bid to land regular first-team football.

Football Insider claim the Hammers are now keen, with Nketiah resisting a new contract due to a lack of first team outings.

The striker is available on a free transfer this summer as things stand.
