Arsenal are ‘tracking’ Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus ahead of a potential summer swoop along with top flight rivals Manchester United and Newcastle United as they eye up possible reinforcements ahead of next term, as per a report by The Athletic. Mikel Arteta will be looking to add more competition and depth to this squad to ensure they can compete with City again next year.
Kudus, who is 22-years-old, was at the World Cup last winter in Qatar with the Ghana national team and has made 23 caps for his country to date. He has been with Ajax since joining them in 2020 from FC Nordsjælland and has chipped in with 23 goals in 82 games in all competitions since then as his current club face a battle to keep hold of him amid interest from England.
Defender could leave
Arsenal are ‘open’ to offers for defender Rob Holding, as per Football Insider. The centre-back may be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium in the next transfer window if the right offer comes in from elsewhere for his services.
He has been playing his football in London since 2016 after arriving as a youngster from Bolton Wanderers. The former England youth international has since made 162 appearances in all competitions but is facing an uncertain long-term future at this moment in time.
