Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season are fading away fast but they still have two more games to get through before the summer. First up is a trip to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest this weekend and they take on a Reds side who still need points to stay up.

The Gunners then play Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on the final day of the campaign. In the meantime, here is a look at some of the latest transfer news and rumours coming out of the club...

Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is reportedly in ‘talks’ over a loan switch to Burnley, as per Football Insider. The Belgium international, who has made one cap for his country so far in his career, has spent the second-half of this term with Crystal Palace after being given the green light to join the Eagles on a temporary basis to get some more game time under his belt in January.

He has fallen down the pecking order with the Gunners and may well be allowed to leave again this summer. Vincent Kompany’s side won the Championship title and are preparing for life back in the top flight as they look to lure the 23-year-old to Turf Moor.

Defender update

Arteta has reiterated the fact Arsenal are ‘trying’ to secure a new deal for William Saliba. The centre-back has established himself as one of the club’s most prized assets since returning from his spell at Marseille last year.

Speaking prior to the Forest match, the manager has said: “We are trying. We are having conversations and we are trying to maintain the talent we have at the club. These things take time. There are different parties involved and I think everybody’s intention is the same. Hopefully we will find the right solution.”
