Arsenal and Tottenham chasing 'exceptional midfielder' who already has 10 goal contributions this season
Arsenal and Tottenham are being linked with a move for one of the best young players in Europe.
Arsenal and Tottenham are being linked with a move for a player who quickly rising through the ranks with one of the biggest clubs in the world. Real Madrid have often accumulated some of the world’s best talent, both young and old, and in 2023, they managed to get hold of a player with immense potential.

Los Blancos spent around £17million to sign Turkish talent Arda Guler from Fenerbahce, signing him to a six-year deal with the hope he would become a first-team regular.
At 20 years of age, Guler is already fulfilling that hope, racking up 16 league appearances already for Real Madrid this season, scoring four and assisting six times to become one of the club’s most productive players.
Given that early return, you would think Real Madrid have no intention of selling the youngster, and that is likely the case, but Grada 3 are reporting that Arsenala nd Tottenham are willing to do ‘whatever it takes’ to sign the young Turkiye international next summer.
Transfermarkt already value Guler at £52,2million, and their valuations are usually pretty conservative when compared to what clubs actually demand for players. With three-and-a-half years still on his existing deal, and given the potential he is already showing, Guler would likely be an incredibly expensive signing, and that’s if Real Madrid will consider a sale at any price.
Universal praise
Guler has received plenty of praise during his rapid development. Xabi Alonso said in late August: “Since joining the team, Arda Guler has developed incredibly. He has made great progress not only in the quality of his play but also in understanding his positioning on the field and handling the ball. He performed brilliantly in the first half and successfully recovered the ball several times.”
Former boss Carlo Ancelotti said prior to his departure: “Arda Güler has made tremendous progress. He’s showing his quality and gaining consistency. I believe he can become an exceptional midfielder, because there are very few at his level. He will be very important for the future of Real Madrid.”
