Arsenal supporters try hilarious Taylor Swift trick ahead of Bayern Munich

Arsenal supporters have once again tried to call on the help of Taylor Swift superfans this week as their side prepare for Champions League quarter-final action against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta's side are looking to book a place in the competition's semi-finals for the first time since 2009 over the two legs against the German giants. The first of those matches takes place on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium.

On Monday, one cheeky Gooner took to social media platform X to jump on an image shared of the Bayern Munich team bus outside a London hotel. The Arsenal supporter quoted the image and wrote: "Omg!! Just seen Taylor Swift at this hotel (222 Marylebone Rd, London NW1 6JQ) all you #swfities #TaylorSwift13 #TaylorSwiftErasTour better go and make as much noise as possible?! I saw her out the front signing stuff!!!"

Swift is, of course, not staying at the London hotel and is said to be 'nesting' with boyfriend Travis Kelce in Los Angeles as they enjoy some time off. The cheeky Arsenal fan's claim was a light-hearted attempt to invite some 'Swifties' to arrive at the hotel and cause some ruckus to disturb the Bayern Munich squad's sleep before the big match.

Another Gunners supporter added: "Taylor Swift is in London everyone!!! Everyone go and show how much you love her!"

Meanwhile, others shared laughing emojis, and wrote 'fantastic' and 'Swifties please I ask of you only once'.

It is, in fact, not the first time an Arsenal-lover has tried such a stunt. Last year, when Arteta was nominated for the first Premier League Manager of the Month award alongside Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, David Moyes and Ange Postecoglu, supporters tried to claim that he was a big Swiftie to gain some extra support from the huge fanbase of the pop star.

A post on X saying, 'Mikel Arteta is a massive Taylor Swift fan. Please vote for him' attracted over 400 reposts and 3,000 likes as Taylor's fans from across the globe supported a supposed like-minded music lover - although it was Postecoglou who took home that award in the end.
