In the meantime, work will be going on behind the scenes to sound out potential new players for Arteta to turn his squad into one that can compete in the Champions League.

And with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer rumours concerning the Gunners:

An eye on Tielemans

Arsenal are said to have been alerted to a possible Youri Tielemans opportunity.

The Leicester City midfielder has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium amid his uncertain contract situation.

Tielemans is out of contract in 2023, and the Mirror report the Gunners have been told not to rule out a possible free transfer after the 2022/23 season, with the Foxes struggling to tie him down to a new deal.

Los Blancos interest in Gunners defender

Real Madrid are being linked with a move for Arsenal star Kieran Tierney ahead of this summer.

Los Blancos are expected to add depth to the full-back position, with Marcelo out of contract at the end of the current campaign, and according to 90min, they are long-term admirers of Tierney.

Arsenal will be desperate to keep hold of the Scotland international, but a Real Madrid offer could be tempting.

The Gunners are said to have missed out on a move for Atlético Mineiro star Savinho.

The 17-year-old is tipped to be a star in the making, and Arsenal have been linked with a move for him.

But according to Fabrizio Romano via his Twitter, Manchester City have beaten them to the punch, landing a deal worth between around £5.5million.
