Newcastle United ‘make contact’ with £70m Arsenal target and new Lacazette exit link

Arsenal are preparing for the next big test of their top four credentials, facing Leicester City this weekend.

With Liverpool to follow, the next couple of weeks will put the Gunners’ resolve to the test as they look to close out a top four finish having taken control of fourth spot over recent weeks.

Mikel Arteta’s men are in an excellent position, a point ahead and with three games in hand, but with plenty of football still to play, they will have to be at their best to finish the job.

Arsenal are said to be in the running for Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino.

Yeremy is one of the brightest up and coming talents in Spain, winning the Europa League with Villarreal last season and becoming the second youngest player to score four goals in a game in La Liga recently.

The winger is still only 19 years of age and he has a very large release clause of around £70million, but reports claim Arsenal and Newcastle have expressed an interest.

Lacazette latest

Alexandre Lacazette is being linked with a move away from Arsenal ahead of this summer, with his contract set to expire.

A new contract hasn’t been completely ruled out, with the Gunners wanting to finish the season first before having talks.

But if he does leave, Sport are claiming he could be an option for Atletico Madrid as they look to replace Luis Suarez, who is also out of contract.

Richarlison talk

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Everton frontman Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of this summer, but the latest reports claim another Toffees attacker could be an option.

Planet Sport are claiming Edu is a big fan of Richarlison, and that could see the Brazilian become a target ahead of this season.

Richarlison has also been linked with Manchester United, and it’s expected he could cost a fair chunk this summer.
