Arsenal provide injury update on Ben White and Bukayo Saka ahead of Tottenham clash
The Arsenal duo are in a race against time to be ready for the north London derby on Thursday night.
The Gunners will hope to end any hopes Tottenham have of a Champions League spot by beating them, or at least getting something out of the game tomorrow night.
Arsenal go into the game four points ahead of Spurs, who are fifth and desperately in need of a win that will see them to close the gap on their rivals and keep their Champions League hopes alive.
Mikel Arteta is already without Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney, who are both long term absentees, while Ben White, who has missed the last two games, will have to hope for the best news when he takes his late fitness test.
Saka was replaced in the second half against Wolves and there have been concerns over his fitness going into the game over the weekend.
Arteta confirmed both the defender and forward will have to be assessed before the game against Tottenham.
The Arsenal manager told the press ahead of the North London derby: “Ben is a doubt. We’ll have to assess if he’s feeling much better and Bukayo is the same.
“Very difficult to rate [a chance] with injuries, it’s just how they feel today.
“That’s the last day we can assess them so we’ll have to see.”
Manager Mikel Arteta has recently signed a new contract at the club as a reward for all the progress that has been made this season.
The club is preparing to back him in the summer transfer window to try and return the club to its rightful place, amongst the elite.
