Right-back latest

Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer and in this latest update by reporter Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the Gunners are ‘preparing’ their second bid for the Holland international as they look to lure him to the Emirates Stadium. The 22-year-old, who has made 15 caps for his country to date, is versatile and can play at either right-back or centre-back.

Timber moved to the Amsterdam Arena as a youngster back in 2014 from Feyenoord and was initially a key player for Jong Ajax before breaking into the first-team. He has now made 121 appearances in all competitions and has chipped in with six goals from the back.

Midfielder to leave

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is closing in on a move to Serie A giants Juventus in this transfer window after snubbing a switch to Saudi Arabia, as per Sky Sports Italy. The Ghana international is being allowed to leave London to clear space and funds in the squad for new arrivals.

Partey moved to England back in 2020 and has since played 99 times, scoring five goals, but is now seemingly poised to head out the exit door for a new chapter in his career over in Italy. The 30-year-old started his career at Atletico Madrid and went on to play 188 games for the La Liga outfit altogether under Diego Simeone and found the net on 16 occasions.
