The season-defining North London derby is upon us and both teams will look to fight it out for who plays on Wednesday or Thursday nights next season.

This fixture was originally scheduled for November 2021, but Arsenal asked for a postponement due to injuries and one case of Covid, which did not go down well with Spurs.

That postponement - which could have a big impact on which team makes the Champions League - saw the Premier League change the rules around Covid rescheduling.

And now finally the game is upon us that will always be worth more than the three points.

Arsenal are looking to return to Champions League football for the first time in five years, while Spurs have not been since 2019.

Mikel Arteta has done a massive job and it’s been reflected in the passion, fight and desire that has been shown across board this season.

It’s a good thing that he has signed a new deal. The club is looking to back him in the transfer market, so he could take them to the next level in the coming seasons.

On the injury front, both teams are missing some key players, with Arsenal without Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney, while Spurs can’t call on their Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon and midfielder Oliver Skipp.

Arsenal know that even a defeat would not be that devastating given they go into the game with a four-point lead on Spurs, but they will definitely qualify for the Champions League if they can get all three points at tonight.
