Arsenal are back in action this weekend after seeing their next Europa League clash postponed.

The Gunners saw last weekend’s outing postponed after the death of the Queen, and Thursday’s clash with PSV has also been pushed back due to a shortage in police resources.

Arsenal will, however, return to action this weekend when they face Brentford away from home in the last weekend before the international break.

Contract update

Arsenal are said to be pushing on with contract talks as they look to tie three key players down to long-term deals.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba are all in line for new contracts, and Fabrizio Romano has told CaughtOffside: “Talks have been ongoing between Arsenal and Bukayo Saka since February. He’s happy at the club and loves Arsenal, this is why Arteta is optimistic.

“For Arsenal it is a priority, we will see the timing in the coming months.

“Martinelli is another player on the list for contract extension, and Saliba too – nothing completed yet.”

Marquinhos decision

Arsenal are set to send new youngster Marquinhos out on loan in January, according to reports.

The Brazilian is already off to a flyer in his Gunners career, scoring and assisting in his Europa League debut last week. But he is still unlikely to see many first team minutes amid intense competition.

And according to The Mirror, Arsenal will look to send him out on loan in January in a bid to make sure he is playing football and developing.

Marquinhos is still only 19 years of age, and regular football will be key to his development.
