Arsenal are looking to shift some weight around as soon as the January transfer window opens and some players seem to be further up the exit list than others. One man who has been heavily linked to move on from the Emirates is Thomas Partey and it appears as though both he and the club are growing frustrated with the current situation.

According to TuttoJuve, the midfielder ‘would like to leave Arsenal’, having featured in just four Premier League games so far this season as he continues to struggle with his fitness levels. Juventus are a team who have been monitoring Partey’s current situation but they are leaning more towards a loan move, which doesn’t fit Arsenal’s personal plan.

The Gunners are looking to make back some money following their lavish summer spending spree, and they do not want to sign off a standard short-term deal. Instead, they have floated their asking price for a permanent sale of Partey but Juve apparently do not want to pay this amount.

Mikel Arteta’s side reportedly want €30 million (£26m) for the Ghana international, who they signed from Atlético Madrid in 2020 after triggering his £45 million release clause.

If a team meet Arsenal’s asking price, the club will make a loss on Partey but he is slowly being phased out of this current team, particularly following the blockbuster summer signing of Declan Rice. The way things are going, it seems the best option for all involved if a full-time move can be agreed once the January window opens.

Juventus have been mentioned a few times when discussing Partey’s uncertain future. Reports last week claimed that the 30-year-old’s current situation is a ‘source of concern’ for the North London outfit. Partey and his entourage have become ‘increasingly dissatisfied’ with his lack of time on the pitch, leaving the door open for potential offers in the new year.
