Arsenal could make a move for former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who is reportedly not happy at PSG.

Wijnaldum hasn’t been a mainstay for the French giants since joining in the summer, and could jump at the chance to return to the Premier League where he enjoyed so much success.

PSG are desperate to win the Champions League and signed Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi in the summer to try and build on the experience that is required to navigate Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

It remains to be seen if manager Mauricio Pochettino improves his game time in a bid to keep him at the club, with Arsenal waiting in the wings to make their move.

The Gunners are in the market for an experienced midfielder in January with both Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny heading to the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Arsenal boss said: “Let’s see where we are at that point and which players are available and which players definitely have to be there because there are some question marks there as well.

“We will find solutions and if they have to leave they have to leave and we will find solutions.”

Wijnaldum has played in 20 games in all competitions for PSG and only half of those have been starts.
