The latest transfer talk from Arsenal as the January transfer window enters its final 24 hours.

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the progress of Ecuador international William Pacho as he continues to impress with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The international team-mate of Chelsea star Moises Caicedo has quickly rose to prominence after joining the Bundesliga club from Belgian side Royal Antwerp in a £6m deal last summer. The talented defender was attracting attention from several clubs around Europe but opted to move to Germany to take the next step in his development in European football.

Speaking after completing his move to Frankfurt, the 22-year-old said: “I like the Bundesliga, it’s always been a dream of mine to play here one day. I was interested as soon as I heard from the club. That was one of the reasons why I really wanted to join Eintracht. I’m very happy with my decision.”

Eintracht’s sporting director Markus Krosche added: “It's an important transfer for us for the coming season. Willian is still young but he already has experience on the international stage. His speed and strength in the tackle are what make him stand out. We're pleased that he's decided to join Eintracht and we'd like to further develop his huge potential.”

Pacho has taken well to life in Germany’s top tier, making 28 appearances in all competitions as his new side progressed into the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League and moved into contention for a spot in next season’s Champions League, racking up impressive wins against the likes of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig on the way.

However, Pacho’s form has not gone unnoticed and German outlet SportBILD have now claimed Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all considering a move for the defender during the summer transfer window and are ‘already monitoring’ his progress at Eintracht on a regular basis. The report also reveals the Bundesliga club signed the player with a view to a potential sale in 2025 or 2026 - but his progress means an earlier departure could be authorised if they receive an offer of around £52m.
