Arsenal are now preparing for a clash with Nottingham Forest as they look to finish the season with a bang. The Gunners are now all-but certain to miss out on the Premier League title following defeat last weekend, but Mikel Arteta’s men know they must recover the good feeling that has surrounded the squad this season over the course of their final two games.

Arsenal will be hoping to go one better next season, and now is the time for Arteta to work out who he wants in his squad next season. As preparations for Forest ramp up, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Saka boost

The biggest piece of transfer business Arsenal take care of this season may not be an incoming nor an outgoing. That’s because, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have agreed a new deal with key star Bukayo Saka.

Romano told GiveMeSport: “Saka is done 100%. The deal with Saka is completed and it is just about the official statement, so Bukayo Saka will be an Arsenal player until June 2028. The signing of the contract has been completed, so everything is fine there. Now, it’s just about waiting for the statement.”

Patino decision

Arsenal are set to offload Charlie Patino this summer, but they are not completely giving up on the youngster. Patino was dubbed as one of the brightest talents in the Gunners academy over recent years, but it seems he hasn’t made the cut and will be sold ahead of next summer.

But according to Romano, aware that Patino could yet develop into a star with regular senior football, Arsenal will place a buy-back clause in any deal struck for Patino this summer. A smart business decision from Edu, who will have seen a number of players offloaded by big clubs prematurely over recent years, including Kevin De Bruyne at Chelsea and Jadon Sancho by Manchester City.
