Arsenal are in the thick of one of the most intense top four races for some time.

The Gunners are just four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and with three games in hand still to play.

Mikel Arteta’s men will be desperate to make their games in hand count, unlike Tottenham, and in the meantime, there will be work going on behind the scenes to bring in new transfer targets.

The Gunners were bold last summer, snapping up Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal and signing Ben White. And they will likely spend significantly this summer as they look to build on the momentum they have built up this season.

With that in mind, here are the latest Gunners’ transfer rumours.

David boost

Arsenal are being linked with Lille striker Jonathan David ahead of the summer.

David has impressed for Lille since arriving in 2020, netting 22 times in Ligue 1, and he was linked with Liverpool during the January window.

According to football.london, David is on Arsenal’s shortlist as they look to land a striker this summer, and they are said to be best positioned to land him.

It’s reported David could cost around £50million.

Roma to come back for Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is said to remain a target for Jose Mourinho and Serie A giants AS Roma.

Xhaka was heavily linked with a move to Roma last summer but ended up staying, going on to make 12 Premier League appearances so far for Arsenal.

But according to Calciomercato, Roma remain interested in the Swiss midfielder, and they are likely to return with a fresh bid this summer.

Isak blow

Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak ahead of this summer.

According to the latest reports from Sport, the Gunners have actually made contact with Isak’s representatives, but there is a problem.

It’s claimed Isak will wait to see if Barcelona make a move for him before answering Arsenal. Barcelona are expected to prioritise signing Erling Haaland this summer.
