Arsenal linked with former Bayern Munich wonderkid Joshua Zirkzee

The Gunners have been linked with a move for former Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee - but they will not pursue a move for the young Dutchman in the January transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Currently, he plays for Bologna, having scored seven goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, Romano said: "One name linked with Arsenal is Joshua Zirkzee, but I don’t have any update as Bologna are very clear: Joshua will not leave in January, they guarantee. His former club Bayern Munich will not decide on the buy-back clause now, that’s all a discussion for June, not this January."

Gunners have £22 million bid for Borja Mayoral rejected by Getafe

Arsenal reportedly put forth a bid of £22 million for Getafe's Borja Mayoral recently - however, according to Goal, this approach has been turned down by the Spanish outfit. It is unclear how much Gefate will require him for him to leave the club - but it seems apparent that £22 million will not be enough.

Mayoral has been on fire in La Liga this season - he has scored 12 goals and has notched up a single assist over the course of 19 league appearances. His impressive goal return would seem to indicate a high value, which could see the Gunners priced out of a move.
