Arsenal are being linked with a move another forward as they look to improve their front line.

Arsenal may have a new name on their January transfer wishlist as they search for a new forward this winter. The Gunners came into this season needing to sign a new striker, something that has been highlighted this season, while the loss of Bukayo Saka to injury and general struggles from the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard means there is a gap out wide.

The Gunners are said to be considering a January transfer to rectify the issues, but they will only spring to option if the right opportunity presents itself. In other words, they won’t be splashing the cash to improve their front line.

There are a couple of potential options, with Dusan Vlahovic linked, while Matheus Cunha is not a realistic deal for January. PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani has also been linked having struggled in Paris, but it could be Muani’s teammate who Arsenal wind up making a move for.

The Athletic report that Lee Kang-in is considering a fresh challenge away from the French capital and could be persuaded to move on this month. Kang-in is highly valued by PSG as a regular feature of Luis Enrique’s starting XI, but his head could be turned, according to the report. Kang-In has scored nine goals in 39 league games for PSG since his arrival in the summer of 2023.

His current contract runs until 2028 as things stand, and it’s reported that if PSG were to sell, they would demand double what they paid for him, which means a transfer fee of at least £36.5million.

Luis Enrique has previously said of Kang-in this season: “He’s a very versatile player, and what’s crucial for us is that he rarely loses possession. He played as a 'false 9', but with the freedom to roam, and he was exceptional. He scored a clever striker's goal, kept our momentum, and gave us the ball when we needed it,”

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arteta has said of his transfer plans: “That hasn’t changed - again the focus is our players. Whatever is in the market, we’re very alert, but the priority is working with the players that we have at the moment and tomorrow night, which is a big night for us. It’s not a yes, it’s not a no!”
