Arsenal are now less than two weeks away from returning to competitive action as the countdown to the World Cup final begins.

The Gunners take on West Ham on Boxing Day in their first game back, but before then, they face Serie A giants Juventus in a friendly clash this weekend. Mikel Arteta’s men will be hoping to get his men back up to full fitness following wins over Lyon and AC Milan in friendlies across recent days. When Arsenal do return, they will be looking to protect top spot having established a solid lead at the top of the Premier League.

Mudryk boost

Arsenal have been handed a boost in their bid to land Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The winger has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but Arsenal have previously been warned that he would not come cheap. According to the Evening standard, though, there is fresh hope, with Mudryk potentially available for £85million, which is significantly less that the previous quote.

The standard say Arsenal have already begun talks witht he Ukrainian outfit, hoping to snap up the winger in the January window.

Bennacer interest

Arsenal are said to be interested in re-signing former youth product Ismael Bennacer from AC Milan. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners like the look of defensive midfielder as they look to add strength and depth to that position.

Bennacer has become a regular for AC Milan, racking up 98 Serie A appearances for Milan. Bennacer left Arsenal in 2017 after failing to register a senior appearance as a youngster. It seems Arsenal could now be interested in taking the Algeria international back to north London.
