We have already seen some signings from the Gunners, including Fabio Vieria, Marquinhos and Matt Turner, but Arsenal are yet to get their striker.

A new frontman has been the priority for Arteta following the departure of Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

And here we have the latest on the striker chase, and indeed on the rest of the Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

Jesus agreed

Arsenal are said to have agreed a fee in principle over the signing of Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus.

The Gunners have prioritised the Brazilian this summer in their bid to sign a frontman, and CBS Sports are now saying a fee has been verbally agreed.

It’s claimed Jesus has also agreed personal terms ahead of the deal being done, with a £220,000 per-week wage on the table.

Raphinha problem

The Gunners are going to have to pay big if they want to sign Leeds United star Raphinha this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano and The Guardian, Leeds want as much as £65million to sell the winger, and Arsenal are going to have to step it up after having an initial bid rejected.

The Gunners may find this one difficult to pull off, especially after paying a significant chunk of their budget as part of the Jesus deal.

Biereth exit

Arsenal have confirmed the loan exit of young striker Mika Biereth.

The 19-year-old Dane impressed last season, scoring 12 and contributing five assists in the youth ranks, but he will not head out on loan.

Biereth has joined Dutch side RKC Waalwijk, where he will, hopefully, get regular first-team football.
