Mikel Arteta’s side took the lead through Thomas Partey, only for Harry Kane to level it up from the penalty spot.

However, they made sure of the points after goals from Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka.

White, 24, played right-back once again for the hosts and put in an impressive performance to help his side pick up another three points along with Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli.

Wright said on Match of the Day:

“It was a phenomenal performance. (Granit) Xhaka has a new lease of life. (Gabriel) Martinelli is playing like he’s got infinity stones.

“When you look at the way Arsenal have improved, they have more shots, have more shots converted and have high turnovers.”

The former striker then hailed the influence of White:

“I thought he was magnificent today. Tottenham gave him a lot of space.

“That was a fantastic performance and he had the most touches in the game out of everyone. I’m so pleased for him.”

Arsenal have their fans dreaming of a title win this term but Arteta will know that they need to remain focused on the task at hand.
