The Gunners will certainly be looking to bolster their squad in a bid to finish in the Champions League spots next year.

North London rivals Tottenham pipped them to the final qualification place last term after a bad run of form for the Gunners.

In light of this, here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours and news:

Arteta 'interested' in Cody Gakpo

According to Football.London, the Arsenal boss is still adamant in his desire to bring Gakpo to London this summer.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a fantastic season at PSV Eindhoven, scoring 21 goals in 47 appearances for the club.

The player has international experience also, in his seven Dutch caps he scored twice. For £33m, Gakpo could add plenty to Arsenal’s attacking line and help push them closer to the top four spots.

Leeds United are also said to be interested.

Lemar offered to Premier League clubs

Arsenal and Everton have both been offered the opportunity to sign Frenchman Thomas Lemar as Atletico Madrid are looking to offload the player this summer, according to reports.

The 26-year-old has been unable to cement his place in the starting line-up for Simeone’s side, but Arsenal have long been admirers of the player.

Unfortunately for Lemar, L’Equipe has reported that both English clubs have turned down the approach from Spain and will both look elsewhere for summer reinforcements.

Swap Deal for Artur Melo

A report from Italy claims Arsenal are planning a player-plus cash deal for Juventus Midfielder Artur Melo, with Lucas Torreira going the other way.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Arteta and technical director Edu are keen to add more quality to the sides midfield area.

Italian journalist Marcello Chirico has stated that Melo is very interested in swapping Italy for England as he has apparently been told he is surplus to requirements at Juventus.
