Arsenal have enjoyed a superb start to the season so far.

The Gunners did suffer their first defeat of the season last weekend, losing to Manchester United, but they remain top of the Premier League.

On Thursday night, Mikel Arteta’s men turn their attention to the Europa League, taking on FC Zurich away from home.

They will then return to north London for their Premier League clash with Everton, looking to bounce back from that first defeat.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Zaniolo links

Arsenal are being linked with a move for AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo.

The Gunners enjoyed a busy summer window, spending more than £100million to improve their squad.

To what degree they spend in January will likely depend on their success between now and then, but according to Calciomercato, they are already weighing up possible targets.

It’s claimed Zaniolo could be an option for Arsenal to strength out wide, something they have already been tipped to do, with the likes of Yeremy Pino linked.

The 23-year-old would likely cost a significant amount, though, and he has a complicated injury history, already suffering two long-term knee injuries.

Saka concern

Arsenal are said to be concerned with the amount of playing time Bukayo Saka is getting.

Playing time concerns usually relate to not playing enough, but in Saka’s case, it’s overplaying that is the concern.

The 21-year-old already has more than 100 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and 18 senior caps for England.

Concerningly, there has been little break for Saka, with club football and international football allowing for little rest.

And this season, it’s very likely he will compete in the World Cup ahead of returning for the rest of the club season.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have been concerned for ‘years’ about the amount of football Saka is playing, and they are aware the winger needs a rest.
