Arsenal are now preparing for another big test in their title bid as they look to climb back to the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners have been knocked off the top by Manchester City following the Citizens’ win over West Ham United during the week, and Arsenal are going to need their title rivals to slip up. In the meantime, they must continue to do their job, likely needing to win all of their remaining games, including Sunday’s clash with Newcastle United on Sunday.

As preparations for that one ramp up, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Torres links

Arsenal are said to be interested in a move for former Manchester City star Ferran Torres.

According to talkSPORT, the Gunners and Aston Villa are both interested in snapping up Torres should the winger be offloaded this summer. The Spaniard only joined Barca in January of last year, but he hasn’t managed to nail down a consistent starting spot just yet, struggling for form for the most part.

According to the report, Arsenal are interested in snapping up Torres, with Mikel Arteta working with the winger during his days as a City coach.

Musah claim

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Valencia starlet Yunus Musah ahead of this summer, but the US talent is not one of the Gunners’ prime targets, according to Eric Wynalda.

“Musah is not in a good spot at the moment with Valencia, however his performances have been enough to warrant interest,” Wynalda told Goal.

“Musah is on a list of players that Arsenal are targeting but certainly is not at the top of the list. There are several other targets that still hold the upper hand as far as they are concerned. He’s a back-up plan to a back-up plan.”
