Arsenal kept their hopes of silverware this season alive with a 3-0 win against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night at the Emirates.
Declan Rice scored two superb free-kicks in the game to put the Gunners 2-0 up after 70 minutes. Mikel Merino then scored a third goal just five minutes later to hand Arsenal a huge advantage over Madrid heading into the second leg.

How much prize money have Arsenal won so far?
So far in the Champions League, Arsenal have been one of the stand-out teams, as they finished third in the league phase, just behind Barcelona and Liverpool.
The Gunners won six out of eight games, drawing one and losing one, which handed them a total of 19 points, two behind Liverpool, who were knocked out by PSG in the Round of 16.
The Mirror reports that Arsenal received a base payment of £15.6 million for qualifying for the Champions League and then amassed £11 million from the league phase. Each win was worth £1.75m, and each draw was worth £585,000.

Hide AdThe Gunners also got a bonus of £9.5m for finishing third in the league phase and £9.2m for reaching the round of 16, meaning that they earned a total of £45.3m before the knockout stages even began.
Arsenal then played a round of 16 tie against PSV, in which they won 9-3 on aggregate. The hammering earnt Mikel Arteta’s side a bonus of £10.5m, meaning that so far Arsenal have earned a total of £55.8m in the Champions League this season.
How much could Arsenal win in prize money?
With a 3-0 advantage heading into the second leg against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu next week, the odds are stacked heavily in Arsenal’s favour to progress to the semi-finals.
If they complete the job against Carlo Ancelotti’s side, Arsenal would receive an additional £13m, taking their grand total of prize money up to £68.8m if they reach the Champions League semi-finals.

Hide AdAfter that, if they were to beat PSG or Villa in the semi-finals, they would get £15.5m, before the winner of the competition would get an additional £5.4m for lifting the trophy in Munich at the end of May.
This would mean that if Arsenal win the Champions League this season, they would get a total of £89.7m - which would be a huge transfer boost for the upcoming summer window.
