Arsenal target Ivan Fresneda has been ‘absent’ from Real Vallodolid training amid intense speculation over his future, as per Spanish news outlet Marca. The right-back, who has also been linked with English sides such as Newcastle United, Manchester United and Leeds United this month, is being tipped for a bright future in the game.

He now faces a big decision to make as to whether to join the Gunners or move to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund with both clubs offering £13million. The latter are known for giving young players first-team minutes which is something he will take into account.

Midfielder on radar

La Repubblica claim Mikel Arteta’s side are in the frame to land Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie and will go ‘head-to-head’ with other suitors such as Leeds and Bournemouth. He caught the eye at the World Cup earlier this winter in Qatar with the USA national team.

Arsenal could see him as someone to add more competition and depth to their options in the middle of the park. The 24-year-old has been playing his football in Italy since 2020 and has scored eight goals in 65 matches for Juve.
