Arsenal and Aston Villa 'keen' on signing Serie A star striker amid intriguing €52m release clause reveal

Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa have all been linked to a Serie A striker.

Arsenal’s striker woes continue as the Gunners have been struggling to find depth up front, playing the likes of Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino in the striker position.

They tried to sign Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins during the January transfer window, but saw a bid rejected by Villa, who ironically helped Arsenal in the title race by drawing with Liverpool in midweek.

The Gunners have been linked to several of Europe’s top strikers including Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres as they are expected to make a move for one in the summer transfer window. But their latest reported target has emerged from the Serie A, and he has Premier League experience with a £43m release clause attached to his contract.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Villa linked to Moise Kean

According to new reports, Arsenal have been linked to Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, who already has experience of playing in the Premier League. Kean spent time with Everton in between spells at Juventus but failed to make an impact for the Toffees, making just 39 appearances, with four goals in four years with the club.

However, since moving back to Italy, Kean has impressed. In the summer, he signed for Fiorentina from Juventus for a fee of £10.7m, he has since scored 15 goals in 23 Serie A games, making him the second-top scorer in the league. According to a report by Caught Offside, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Aston Villa are all interested in the striker, who could be tempted to move back to the Premier League to further his career.

The 24-year-old plays as a striker, but can also play on the wing, and would provide a cheaper alternative to the likes of Sesko and Gyokeres, who Arsenal have been previously linked with. Kean has a £43m release clause, and his contract expires at Fiorentina in June 2029, but after just one season at the club, Kean could see himself leaving in the summer transfer window.
