Arsenal have been handed yet another injury concern after their FA Cup third round clash with Manchester United. It proved to be the worst case scenario for the Gunners, who had to come from behind through Gabriel Magalhaes, then going to extra time and penalties only to lose on spot-kicks.
With injuries having piled up for Arsenal over the winter, including Bukayo Saka’s two month layoff and Ethan Nwaneri’s injury blow, the Gunners will not want to have gone to extra time on Sunday.

During the game, Martin Odegaard picked up a knock but managed to carry on, suggesting it wasn’t anything serious, but there was another fresh blow late in the game.
During the second half of extra time, Jorginho had to be withdrawn after he started hobbling. The centre-midfielder is known as a penalty specialist, but he had to be withdrawn before he got the chance to take a penalty. That could be another blow for the Gunners as they prepare to face Tottenham in the latest North London derby on Wednesday night. Jorginho looked upset as he came off, and he appeared to clutch his groin as he left the pitch.
Elsewhere, Gabriel Jesus had to be taken off on a stretcher, only increasing Arsenal’s need for another striker, depending on the severity of the injury. The Gunners have already been short at the top end of the pitch, and should Jesus be lost for significant time, Arteta will surely be forced into the market.
As for Jorginho, he is not a regular starter, with Declan Rice, Mikel Merino and Thomas Partey all ahead of him, but it could be a loss of depth for the Gunners with games still coming thick and fast. Fortunately, the Italian’s injury did not look overly serious.
