It has been an excellent start to the season, and one Mikel Arteta will be delighed with after a busy summer.

But the pressure is still on, with Manchester City and Tottenham closing in amid solid starts of their own.

Arsenal are next in action against Spurs after the break, but in the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are said to have made contact with Jesper Lindstrom’s representatives.

According to Bild, the Gunners are keen on the Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder, and they have already made contact over a possible winter move.

Lindstrom has managed eight goals and nine assists in 49 appearances, and he appears to have caught the eye of Arteta and Edu.

It will be interesting to see where this one goes ahead of January, with the report claiming the Gunners have already got the ball rolling.

Luiz competition

Chelsea are said to have entered the race to sign Arsenal target Douglas Luiz. The Gunners made a move to sign the midfielder late in the summer transfer window, but they came up short.

That’s despite Aston Villa being at risk of losing the Brazilian for nothing next summer due to his expiring contract. Arsenal could yet return for Luiz in January amid the possibility of landing a cut-price deal.

But according to the Birmingham Mail, Chelsea are also interested in Luiz, causing a potential issue for Arsenal should they return with a fresh offer in January.

The Gunners reportedly saw as many as three offers rejected in the summer.
