Arsenal finished 2nd in the Premier League table last term behind Manchester City after going neck and neck with Pep Guardiola’s side for the majority of the season and will be eager to go for top spot again next year. They are also back in the Champions League so will need more competition and depth in their ranks.

Neves is someone who would give Mikel Arteta another option to choose from in the middle of the park and has proven himself in the top flight over recen years. His current contract expires next June meaning Wolves will be keen on getting a transfer fee for him over the next couple of months or in January to eradicate the risk of losing him for free, assuming he doesn’t put pen-to-paper on a new deal anytime soon.

The 26-year-old moved to his current club back in 2017 after rising up through the youth ranks at Porto and has since become a key player in the middle of the park for the Midlands outfit. He helped them gain promotion from the Championship under Nuno Espirito Santo in his first year.

Neves has made 253 appearances for Wolves in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 30 goals, six of which came last season. Arsenal have been linked and his agent is now reportedly keen to work out some sort of deal to send him to the Emirates Stadium.
