Arsenal are said to have taken pole position in their bid to complete a deal for Leeds United star Raphinha.

According to Goal, Barcelona’s interest in the winger has now ‘cooled’, while Liverpool are said to be unlikely to spend big again this summer.

The only issue for Arsenal is that they will likely have to pay £60million or more for the winger this summer.

But they do, at least, have a clear run at the Brazilian, according to the report.

Jesus deal

The Gunners are said to be closing in on a deal for City star Jesus.

According to the Daily Mail, the Brazilian’s agent is now headed to the UK to meet with Arsenal, ahead of completing the deal.

Arsenal previously had a £35m plus add-ons offer rejected by City. who are said to want £50m in total.

It seems the Gunners have made progress since.

Loan exit

Arsenal youngster Mika Biereth looks set to leave the club this summer.

According to The Athletic, the young striker is to join RKC Waalwijk on loan ahead of next season.

Biereth scored 12 goals last season for the club’s youth team, but Arsenal are said to be keen to make sure he gets first-team football next season.

He will head to the Netherlands to get it.
