Tottenham have a number of key players looking to return from injury after the international break having jumped to the summit of the Premier League table after the first two months.

The start to the season has been brilliant under Ange Postecoglou, with the mood at the club swiftly lifted by a significant improvement in both performances and results.

They have had bumps on the way though first with the exit of Harry Kane which was followed by a big injury to Ivan Perisic and later Manor Solomon.

Summer signing Brennan Johnson picked up an injury on his first start for the club against Arsenal and ended up missing the wins against Liverpool and Luton Town. He has however stayed back at Hotspur Way in Enfield to try and be fit for the game against Fulham.

The break has also afforded Bryan Gil enough time to work on his sharpness as he could possibly profit from the injury to Manor Solomon with manager Ange Postecoglou confirming he has him in mind.

The Tottenham manager told reporters: “He’s been a bit unfortunate in that, pretty much since the start of pre-season, he’s had a couple of injuries that haven’t allowed him to train with the team. He had a good year last year away from here and he certainly plays in a position where guys with his attributes can fit into our structure.

“It’ll be good to see Bryan getting up to speed over the next couple of weeks, training with the team and then, obviously with Ivan going down, we’re one down in those wide areas so having him at the club is certainly beneficial.”
