Zehra Umatia: Missing 14-year-old girl from Leicester may have travelled down to London

Police are searching for Zehra Umatia, who they believe might have travelled down to London.

Officers are concerned for the welfare of the 14-year-old girl, who was last seen at her home address in the Melton Road area of Leicester on Saturday morning (June 25).

Zehra has not been seen for four days now - and police said the disappearance is very out of character.

She is described as Asian, 5ft 5in, of a slim build, has short dark brown hair and wears glasses.

It is not known what she is wearing other than a religious headscarf, as pictured.

Leicestershire Police said: “A number of enquiries are being progressed to find her including the possibility she may well have travelled to London.

“Zehra has never been missing before and officers and her family are concerned for her welfare.”

Anyone who may have seen her or knows where she is, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 231 of 25 June.
