Women’s World Cup Final: England fan photos at Victoria Park London - crowds during All Points East

England take on Spain in the World Cup Final in Australia on Sunday, August 20 and thousands of fans arrived at Victoria Park to cheer them on.

It’s the big one. England in the World Cup final.

It’s the first since 1966 (etc etc) but this team, the Lionesses, don’t need to think about that. They have already written themselves into the history books with a Euros win, and now they can just enjoy the biggest final in the game.

Wednesday’s victory over Australia was thrilling, with strikes from Ella Toone, Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo secured a 3-1 win in Sydney.

Just 90 minutes (or 120, or 120 plus penalties) separate Sarina Wiegman’s side from the prize.

With the likes of Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati in the Spain side, England will need to be at their best.

England’s manager, Sarina Wiegman, has named an unchanged team. Lauren James returns to the bench after picking up a red card and a suspension in England’s last-16 win over Nigeria.

All Points East got under way in Victoria Park on Friday with a day headlined and curated by Stormzy. Saturday was Field Day, with Aphex Twin and Bonobo. Sunday marks the beginning of four days of free events with In The NBHD, including a screening of the World Cup Final for thousands of fans.

Here are just some of them, out for a day in the sun - and footballing glory.
