While many across the city will no doubt be dreaming of a white Christmas, here's how likely snowfall in London is for the big day.

Those hoping it won't be the last appearance of snow this side of Christmas will be pleased to hear north London could expect more next week.

But will London have more snow this Christmas? We break down how likely a white Christmas in London is this festive season.

What are the odds it will snow in London this Christmas?

Londoners may just wake up a White Christmas this December, according to Ladbrokes. The betting company says there is a five-in-one chance snow could fall on the big day.

However, those hoping to see sights similar to those depicted in festive greeting cards may be disappointed. As explained by the Met Office, for a Christmas to be considered a white one, it only takes one snowflake to be seen falling on December 25.

Therefore, while it is likely London could see snow this December 25, how much of the white stuff the capital could welcome is yet to be determined.
