More snow is on its way to the capital as the south of the city is forecast to have a sprinkling this afternoon (January 8).
BBC Weather’s forecast shows Londoners can expect sleet from 4pm into the evening.

Hide AdThe forecasted snowy weather follows a yellow weather warning from the Met Office.
The meteorological service issued a snow warning for southern parts of London including Croydon and Orpington which goes into effect from 9am today and ends at 11:59pm this evening.
Here’s an hour by hour forecast of what snowy weather London locals can expect today according to BBC Weather.
4pm
It will start sleeting in the capital with places like Battersea, Croydon, Orpington and Greenwich the first to see it fall.

Sleet will continue to fall in the outer parts of the south as temperatures stay around 2C but feel like 0C.
6pm
Temperatures will drop to 1C in Orpington while across the city Battersea will have a break from the Sleet with some light rain.
7pm
It will start sleeting again in Battersea and will continue across the outer parts of south London.
8pm
Sleet will start falling in some of the inner parts of the city including Brixton and some areas in Southwark.

The icy weather will continue across the south of the city as temperatures keep to 2C. Outer sections including Orpington will stay at 1C.
10pm
Sleet is set to stop falling in most areas across the south of the city but for Greenwich Southwark, Brixton, Croydon, Orpington and Bromley it is set to continue until the early hours of the morning.
