More wintry showers are heading for London this week, as the Met Office issues a yellow warning for snow.
According to forecasts people in South London can expect snow and sleet showers today (January 8th) and Friday (January 10th.)

Hide AdThe Met Office has warned that between 9am and midnight up to 10cm of snow could blanket the capital, reports LBC.

And it’s bad news for commuters because it’s meant to start sleeting just in time for rush hour.
With slippery conditions outside, commuters are urged to be extra careful when travelling across London, especially on Underground services.
According to BBC Weather, sleet is expected to start falling at 4pm and will continue until 10pm.

Hide AdThe Met Office has issued a yellow warning for parts of South London from 9am today. It covers areas in the Southeast and Southwest of the capital and ends at midnight.
The forecaster said: “A weather system may push snow into some southern counties of England on Wednesday, which could then prove disruptive.”
Adding: “There remains some uncertainty with this event and how much snow will fall, so be sure to stay up to date with the forecast.”


The weather may cause disruption to travel and power services. While some rural communities could become cut off.

Those in the north of the city are poised for chilly temperatures and potentially icy showers.
The outlook for Thursday across the capital is bright, sunny, and cold, with temperatures dropping to below zero.
