TfLworkers were shown trying to shut the gates to the station, while flood water poured onto the concourse.

Anthony Bonnici, of London Street Guide, shared a video on Twitter, adding: “Victoria station is flooding.”

It comes after the Met Office issued an updated amber weather warning across much of the capital with flooding and disruption expected.

The alert is in place from 11am to 10pm today (Wednesday, August 17), warns flooding of homes and businesses is "likely", with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
