London snow 2023: Is it going to snow in the capital this year? Exact date this week Londoners can expect it

Many across the city will no doubt be dreaming of a white Christmas, but will London actually have snowfall this year?

Temperatures around the capital have already started to drop and this week is set to bring more cold weather. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing overnight.

The Met Office has warned that the South East, in particular, could get snow early next month.

Here's when Londoners can expect snow in the capital this festive season.

Is it going to snow in London this year?

The capital will not be covered with the white stuff just yet. However, Londoners could expect to see light snowfall from the end of the week, according to the Met Office's seven-day forecast. 

The first few snowflakes in London are set to fall over the weekend. The meteorological service has forecast light snow for Sunday evening (December 3) around 6pm.
