Easter 2023 weather in London: Met Office forecast for April bank holiday weekend

Easter weekend is almost upon us, and both locals and those travelling are no doubt hoping for good weather as they celebrate across the capital. But what can Londoners expect weatherwise this weekend?

The bank holiday festivities will kick off on Good Friday (April 7) and will run until Easter Monday (April 10). The four-day long weekend will likely draw in big crowds as themed events are planned across the city.

From exhibitions to Easter egg hunts, there’s plenty to do in London this weekend. London Zoo is even hosting its own Easter egg trail, which will continue until mid-April.

Over the past week, London has enjoyed a milder climate, but as Easter approaches, sunny spells are set to heat up the capital. The city will get warmer towards the end of the week as the long Easter bank holiday weekend starts.

Londoners are set to wake up to the sun this Good Friday as it is set to warm up the city before taking shelter behind the clouds after lunchtime.

The Easter weekend is expected to see a warmer start on Saturday. The sun will start beaming down in the capital from the late morning, with its warmth continuing across the afternoon despite it being more cloudy from midday.

Easter Sunday, April 9  

Easter Sunday will see the warmth stay throughout the capital as clouds line the skies. While the day is expected to start, misty London’s skies will become more cloudy as the day goes on.

Easter Monday is expected to bring more of the same. Similar to Sunday, next week is set to start off cloudy, keeping the warmth throughout the city.
