Easter 2022 weather London: what is forecast for Easter school holidays and April bank holiday weekend?

Parents and guardians are bracing themselves for another school break - this time the Easter holidays.

In the last seven days, London, and other parts of the country enjoyed warmer than average temperatures but according to weather experts, things will start to feel much cooler.

With Easter and bank holidays just around the corner, here’s the long weather forecast for London.

When are the Easter school holidays?

Pupils can enjoy an 18-day break from school, as the spring term is set to commence later this month.

After a half term in February, school children up and down the country are set for a break as they finish on Friday, April 1.

Pupils will return to school on April 19, 2022 and start the spring term, the penultimate term in the school year.

A half-term will occur at the end of May, running into early June before finishing the school year in July, where students enjoy the latter part of July and the entirety of August off.

When is the April bank holiday?

The April bank holiday is the first bank holiday since early January, with many people having a long weekend, getting Good Friday and Easter Monday off.

This year, Good Friday is on April 15 and Easter Monday is on April 18.

People only have to wait a couple of weeks before the next bank holiday, which occurs on Monday, May 2, the early May bank holiday.
