London weather today: Grey skies and heavy rain forecast all day in the capital

Half-term visitors to the capital should prepare for heavy downpours and grey skies on Wednesday (29th October).

Grey is the colour of the season at the moment here in London - from the coats we wear to the colour of the sky.

And we’re sorry to say, today (October 29th) is set to be another miserable day in the UK capital - with cloud and rain on the forecast.

Visitors heading into the city for October Half Term explorations with the kids may want to take the opportunity to visit one of the capital’s many museums or indoor activities (to avoid soggy tantrums!)

The Met Office says tomorrow will be: “Cloudy with outbreaks of rain lasting for much of the day, some of them perhaps heavy at times. Becoming clear overnight as rain clears to the east. Maximum temperature 13 °C.”

According to BBC Weather’s hour-by-hour forecast, downpours are expected to begin at around midday, lasting throughout the afternoon and early evening.

So wrap up warm and don’t forget to pack an umbrella, because it’s likely to be a bit of a washout in London on Wednesday.

As for the rest of the week, well, it’s looking pretty bleak too. Lots of grey clouds, blustery winds and unpredictable rain showers. If nothing else, it’s on brand for Halloween!
