TfL this weekend November 10 to 13: Tube, Elizabeth line, Overground disruption

Londoners travelling into the capital this weekend could be faced with disruption due to closures on TfL services.

Transport for London (TfL) has asked Londoners to check before they travel this weekend.

Here is the full list of planned TfL service changes this weekend, November 10 to 12.

London Underground

TfL is temporarily closing five lines this weekend so that engineering works can be carried out.

The Circle, Jubilee, District and Hammersmith and City lines will not operate for a large part of Saturday November 11 due to work on a new signalling system.

The Metropolitan line will have a limited service, with no trains running between Harrow-on-the Hill and Aldgate.

The closures are scheduled to last until 3pm, with replacement buses put in place while the lines are shut.

Full details on each line closure

Circle Line: The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Customers are being asked to use alternative Tube or Elizabeth line services or local bus routes.

District Line: The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Rail replacement buses will run between Earl's Court and Wimbledon, Canning Town and Dagenham East and between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia).

Hammersmith & City Line: The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Replacement buses will operate between Liverpool Street and Dagenham East.

Jubilee Line: The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Replacement buses will operate on the Finchley Road to Wembley Park, and North Greenwich to Stratford sections only. For other sections, customers are urged to use alternative London Underground lines or local London Buses service.

Metropolitan Line: There will be no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate till 3pm. Customers are asked to use Chiltern Railways services between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Marylebone. Limited replacement buses will operate.

Overground

Saturday November 11

No service between Highbury & Islington and New Cross/New Cross Gate including Night Overground services all weekend

Use alternative Tube or DLR services or local bus routes.

Rail replacement buses will run between Dalston Kingsland and New Cross Gate. For Dalston Kingsland, use alternative London Overground services or local bus route 30 from Highbury & Islington.

No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.

Saturday 11 and Sunday November 12

No service between New Cross Gate and West Croydon/Crystal Palace

Use Southern Railway services or local bus routes. On Sunday, rail replacement buses will run. This is due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Sunday November 12

No service between South Tottenham and Barking Riverside until 12.30pm

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run between Walthamstow Central and Barking. This is due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Sunday 12 to Thursday November 16.

No service between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 10.45pm each night

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run between Hackney Downs and Chingford, extending to Liverpool Street after midnight, Monday to Thursday. This is due to Network Rail maintenance work.

The last train from Heathrow to Paddington at 0.07am will instead terminate at Ealing Broadway

Sunday November 12

No service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7.45am, including Heathrow Express and Great Western Railway services

Use alternative Tube services between Heathrow and central London. Two trains per hour will call at Heathrow Terminal 4, Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, West Drayton, Hanwell and Acton Main Line all day.

Buses and roads

Bus strikes

On Friday November 10 bus drivers in west London will start their six day strike action, which will take place on various dates in November and December.

If the strikes go ahead little or no service is expected on the 13, 23, 28, 218, 295, 414, 452 and N28 routes. All other bus routes will operate as normal.

Friday November 10

Royal Albert Hall

From 7.15pm until 11.30pm, there will be preparation work for an event at the Royal Albert Hall the following day. Delays are expected.

Saturday November 11

Royal Albert Hall

From 6.30am until 11.59pm, the Royal Albert Hall will be hosting the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

City of London

From 7am until 3.30pm, the Lord Mayor's Show will take place across the City of London. Extensive road closures will be in place between Bishopsgate in the east, Old Street in the north, Aldwych in the west and Victoria Embankment in the south.

From 11am, Victoria Embankment will close between Bridge Street and Upper Thames Street at Southwark Bridge. 

Westminster

From 8am until 3pm, a Remembrance service will take place. There will be road closures in place between Parliament Street and Whitehall Court. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

Croydon

From 8am until 4pm, a funeral procession and demonstration will take place from Derby Road to Cairo Road. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

Drumsheds, Tottenham Hale

From 12pm until 10.30pm, Drumsheds will be hosting a concert in Tottenham Hale. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected, with delays likely during pedestrian movement at the beginning and end of the event.

Central London

From 12pm until approximately 6pm, there will be a march taking place from Park Lane towards Nine Elms (via Victoria and Vauxhall Bridge). Large crowds are expected.

O2 Arena, Greenwich

From 5pm until 10pm, the O2 Arena will be hosting 50 Cent in concert. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

Broad Sanctuary and Whitehall

From 8pm on Saturday until 2am the following morning, there will be preparation work for the annual Remembrance Day service on Sunday. Delays are expected.

Sunday November 12

Remembrance Sunday ceremonies

There will be multiple Remembrance Day ceremonies and parades taking place across London all day, with extensive road closures and traffic holds in place in areas including Westminster, City of London, Islington, Borough, Hackney, Loughton, Kensington, Holborn Viaduct, Parsons Green and Shepherd's Bush. These events will all start and end at various times throughout the day, with the last event finishing at approximately 5pm. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected in the area around each ceremony.

O2 Arena, Greenwich

From 5pm until 10pm, the O2 Arena will host Hauser in concert. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

A406 Neasden

From 6.30pm until 10.30pm, an annual fireworks display will take place with a road closure along the A406. The footbridges on the North Circular Road will also be closed. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.
