Hackney shooting: Teenager appears in court charged with murder after woman gunned down in east London

A teenager appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was shot dead in east London.

Lianne Gordon, 42, was killed in Hackney last week and a 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy also suffered gunshot wounds, but were later discharged from hospital.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning December 8 in east London.

He appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was also charged with two counts of attempted murder.

He was further charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Police were called at just before 6.30pm on Tuesday (December 5) to reports of a shooting outside an address in Vine Close.

Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, finding three people with gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of the emergency services, Ms Gordon died at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist family liaison officers.

The teenager was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday December 13.
