Take That video: Watch Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen wow National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash

This video shows the moment Take That had the crowd screaming for their classic single Never Forget in Wembley this week.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen were among the performers for The National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash, which was staged on Wednesday (December 6) at the OVO Arena Wembley. It will be broadcast on ITV on New Year's Eve.

The event, hosted by Alesha Dixon and Jason Manford, featured Roman Kemp, Brian Cox, Mo Farah, Busted and Paloma Faith. The show celebrates moments from 2023, such as the 75th anniversary of Windrush and the UK’s hosting of Eurovision, and includes contributions from Idris Elba and Olivia Colman.

Take That performed Never Forget and This Life, and there was an appearance by Eurovision winner Loreen, from Sweden.

A Million Dreams was performed by The 100 Voices Choir, featuring both Ukrainian and Liverpudlian children, brought together earlier this year for the UK’s hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest. Becky Hill opened the night with Disconnect, while Sir Mo Farrah was recognised by The National Lottery for his outstanding career.

Other performances included Busted’s medley of hits, Cat Burns’ rendition of Know That You’re Not Alone, a Masked Singer reveal and a Barbie Lip Sync battle featuring queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

An emotional performance was staged in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Windrush. The tribute included a special recognition award from The National Lottery to an individual who has inspired his community.

A spokesperson said: "The National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash welcomed guests to a spectacular show that celebrated the big moments of 2023, as well as the extraordinary people who have been able to make a difference in their communities thanks to National Lottery funding.

"Thanks to National Lottery players, more than £30M is generated each week for National Lottery-funded projects, helping organisations and charities across the UK."
